Francis Collins correspondence with Gualberto Ruano, the CEO of Genaissance Pharmaceuticals. Francis attached a press release regarding Genaissance's publication in Science concerning gene haplotype analysis. Gualberto reached out to Francis Collins to address his thoughts and scientific concerns about the Genome-Wide Haplotype Map, including the purported "block" organization of LD. He believed the hypothesis appared to conflict with the facts and published results. Francis hoped to discuss those findings with him. Documents also include newspaper articles from places such as the Chicago Tribune covering Genaissance's research.
