This repository contains files related to the history of publicly-funded international Human Genome Project (HGP). It includes the personal collections of key former NHGRI leadership and staff amassed approximately during the Human Genome Project (1990 - 2003) and the years immediately following. As such it also contains materials relating to other important NHGRI-led initiatives like the International Haplotype Map Project (HapMap), 1000 Genomes, the Cancer Genome Atlas, eMERGE, and others.
