Ellen Wright Clayton HapMap, 2003

 File — Box: FC-46, Folder: 19
Identifier: 19

Scope and Contents

Documents include a paper titled "Ethics and Haplotype Maps" in which the ELSI group addressed the ethic issues around creating haplotype maps of individuals from around the world. There are multiple drafts of this document with comments from ELSI staff such as Jean McEwen. Jean sent an e-mail to Francis Collins showing a lot of concern over Ellen Wright Clayton's proposal due to how premature the whole project was. Documents also include a Proposed Reconfiguration of ELSI Groups for HapMap Project which would make recommendations only with respect to ELSI issues related to the large-scale International HapMap Project.
