Scope and Contents
Research at Cleveland Clinic into one large family (Steffensons) with heart disease in the family. Family has a gene that guarantees a heart attack will occur. Found defective gene that causes a weak artery wall and a protein that causes the artery wall to crack. Sets stage for unraveling genes that cause heart attacks and disease.
