Content Description
14 boxes of mixed media materials. The formats of the materials are audio cassettes, VHS tapes, BetaCam videos, photographs, zip disks, DVDs, and assorted printed materials associated with multimedia products. The date ranges of the materials range from 1990 - 2010. The majority of the materials were generated during the Human Genome Project and include interviews with key NHGRI staff, press conferences, and educational materials. Other materials are related to NHGRI administration, including staff retreats and photographs from events.
Provenance
The materials were generated by the NHGRI between 1990 - 2010 and were stored in the NHGRI records storage room until 2023 at which point they were sent to the Federal Records Center at Suitland, Maryland by the NHGRI records custodian. These materials have not been digitized and the archivist hasn't viewed any of the items in detail.
